Purchase/Procurement Executive

1. Research potential vendors from both local and overseas
2. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers that they are in line with the requirement and scope
3. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
4. Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions
5. In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on
Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
6. Track orders and ensure timely delivery
7. Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors
8. Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors
9. EXIM operations - Customs Clearance process handling
10. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and
ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation
11. Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
12. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
13. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
14. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
15. Coordinate with R&D and Production team to ensure the availability of the materials
16. Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short
lead time requirements
17. Recycling and management of defective materials in cost effective manner
18. Reconciliation of Purchase and Inventory with Finance and Accounts Department for accuracy
19. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements and skills
1. Experience in Purchases and procurements
2. Resourceful, self-driven, proactive and independent worker
3. Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
4. Skills to use Excel, Google Drives and other software Applications
5. Understanding of supply chain procedures
6. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
7. Negotiation skills
8. Able to work well under stress in a fast paced environment
Qualification Criteria
● Commerce or any degree
- 1 -2 years of experience is preferred.
